Personal data we collect

Depending on how you use our website, we may collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number if provided, account details, order history, payment status, IP address, browser and device information, cookie data, messages you send to us, and photographs or videos supplied for DOA claims. We do not receive or store your full payment card or online banking credentials.

Why we use your data

  • To process, pack, ship and administer your order.
  • To receive payments and prevent fraud.
  • To provide customer service and handle delivery, DOA, refund or warranty claims.
  • To maintain customer accounts and remember basket contents.
  • To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
  • To secure, maintain and improve our website and services.
  • To send marketing communications only where you have given consent or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We process personal data where this is necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with a legal obligation, pursue a legitimate business interest such as website security and fraud prevention, or where you have given consent.

Payments

Payments are processed by Mollie. Mollie receives the data needed to process and secure your payment and acts in accordance with its own privacy policy. CoralWiz receives payment status and transaction information but not your full banking or card credentials.

Who we share data with

We share only the data necessary with service providers that help us operate the webshop, including Mollie for payments, shipping carriers for delivery, OVH for hosting, WordPress and WooCommerce service providers, email and IT providers, and professional advisers. We may also disclose information where required by law or a competent authority. We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies

CoralWiz currently uses essential cookies for functions such as the basket, checkout, account login, security and language or session preferences. If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are introduced, they will only be used where permitted and, when required, after your consent. You can change or delete cookies through your browser settings, although essential website functions may then stop working correctly.

Required information and automated decisions

Details marked as required during checkout are needed to accept payment and deliver your order. Without them, we may be unable to complete the order. CoralWiz does not use personal data to make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

How long we keep data

Order, invoice and accounting records are generally kept for seven years to meet Dutch tax obligations. Account information is kept while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Customer-service messages, security logs and claim evidence are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, dispute or legal obligation. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent or object.

International processing

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we require an appropriate legal safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, request data portability or withdraw consent. Legal retention duties may limit deletion. Send requests to info@coralwiz.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity.

You may also submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Security and changes

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No online system is completely risk-free. We may update this policy when our website, suppliers or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
